Privacy Policy

Last updated October 2, 2026

Genora is a private family legacy platform. This policy explains what information the service handles, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.

Information Genora handles

Account details such as your name and email; family profiles and relationships; stories, photos, recordings, documents, milestones, and other content you choose to preserve; invitation and permission records; and limited technical information needed to operate and protect the service.

How information is used

Genora uses this information to provide your private family archive, authenticate users, enforce family permissions, deliver invitations, store and organize content, support requested AI-assisted features, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

Engagement measurements and reminders

During the founding-family program, Genora records limited action metadata such as a prompt category, whether a prompt was opened, whether an answer was started or became a saved memory, family participation totals, return activity, and reminder opt-outs. Engagement events do not copy the private text, recording, photo, or video from a memory. Users control reminder frequency and personalization in Settings. Email and phone push reminders require a separate explicit opt-in before they are enabled.

Optional public website analytics

If you choose Allow analytics on the public website, HeyCatch receives public page visit events, a browser/session identifier, and a limited campaign code to help Genora understand which channels bring visitors. Tracking is off until you choose to allow it. This integration excludes private family routes, names, email addresses, form entries, private family content, and session recordings. Your choice is stored in your browser and can be changed through Analytics choices on public pages. Network requests also expose ordinary connection information to the receiving service. Do Not Track is respected. This website integration does not measure TestFlight app usage.

Family privacy

Family content is available only to people authorized for that family and is protected by role-based access rules. Family owners control invitations and access levels. Do not share an invitation with someone who should not enter your archive.

AI boundaries

AI-assisted features may help transcribe, organize, tag, summarize, search, or explain relationships using approved family content. Genora is designed not to invent family facts or imitate deceased relatives. Review AI-assisted output before relying on it.

Service providers

Genora relies on infrastructure and service providers, including Base44, to host the application, authenticate users, store data, and deliver app functions. Providers process information only as needed to provide their services and are subject to their own security and privacy obligations.

Sharing and sale

Genora does not sell family content. Information may be shared with authorized family members, service providers that operate Genora, or when required to protect users, comply with law, or respond to a valid legal request.

Retention and deletion

Information is retained while your account or family archive remains active and as needed for security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. You can initiate account deletion in Settings. Requests are reviewed to protect shared family content and ownership rights; Genora aims to complete verified requests within 30 days. Limited backup copies may remain temporarily before routine deletion.

Your choices

You can control family invitations, profile information, and the content you add. You may request account deletion from Settings. Before deleting an owner account, ownership or archive deletion must be resolved so another family member’s content is not erased without authorization.

Children

Genora family profiles may describe children, but app accounts are intended for adults or users authorized by a parent or legal guardian. Do not invite a child to create an account unless you are legally permitted to do so.

Security

Genora uses access controls and platform safeguards intended to protect family information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password, protect your email account, and do not upload passwords, payment card details, or information you do not want stored online.

Account deletion

Signed-in users can initiate deletion in Settings. Instructions are also available on the public deletion page.
